History
KAGEDEV was created in 2011 from the desire of some Cameroonians and students at German universities, faced with many problems in an ecosystem that they did not yet know, to rethink the ins and outs of solidarity within their community. They therefore decided to create an exchange group on the Facebook platform, allowing thousands of Cameroonians available on the same platform to join the group and pose their respective problems.
German Kmers e.V. was established in Mannheim, Germany, as a result of our Facebook group's tremendous popularity.
The association of kmers d'Allemagne e.V. called a meeting of its board of directors to discuss a number of proposals aimed at expanding the association's activities because of the increasing investment in projects by local actors, the potential for change they represent for Cameroonians, and their expectations. The steering committee members disagree at the end of this lengthy discussion, but there has also been a significant shift in direction.
Suite à cette divergence d’opinion, l’organisation sera dissoute en mars 2019.
In June 2019, the founding members of Kmers d'Allemagne e.V. made the decision to carry on their assistance and support work by establishing a new organization called KAGEDEV.
Cette nouvelle organisation décide de mettre en place des projets d’aide et de concentrer toute son action dans les domaines de l’éducation, de la formation, de la santé et de la culture : Un partenariat de compétences visant à améliorer les conditions de vie des Camerounais
